Gofrank & Mattina was formed in May 1988. The firm is licensed in the State of Michigan and currently has a staff of nineteen, eleven CPAs, one degreed CPA candidate, two seasonal tax preparers, two accounting interns and three administrative support staff. We have a diversified mix of clients from manufacturers and distributors, personal service companies like doctors, attorneys and manufacturers representatives to developers and construction contractors. Our firm is involved in various community organizations like; Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce, Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce, Lake Orion Chamber of Commerce, Presidents Advisory Council of Walsh College, Detroit Chapter of NTMA, Venetian Club of Mutual Aid, Elks Club, Financial and Estate Planning Council of Metropolitan Detroit and Local Business Network (LBN).
We are involved in several non-profit organizations like; Rochester Rotary, Community Foundation of Greater Rochester, IC Incorporated (I Care, Inc.), Alhambra Organization Galicia Caravan #77, Lapeer County Hockey Association and Project Inspire Parent Association.
What is a good client? The type of clients we are looking for is a corporate client who is looking for service, tax planning, bank financing or who needs bookkeeper training. We strongly encourage our clients to maintain their own general ledger and process the day-to-day activity through a computerized system. We are part of the QuickBooks ProAdvisors group and Qualified Installer of Peachtree software. The computerized software we run at our office will import the data from either of those programs to our system for further processing, financial statements and eventual tax return preparation.
